Trained to saddle and currently a trailblazer!

OUR OBJECTIVES are to train your horse the gentle way to accept saddle, bridle and rider.
We will complete an evaluation on your horse as to his demeanor, training capability,  and for the purpose that you want him for,
You horse will learn to work on a lunge line at a walk, trot, canter, gallup, whoa(which will only be asked when we want a complete stand still) and switch directions with voice commands.
Once we begin riding your horse he will learn to back, side pass, a no rein stop and to canter off on each lead.
ALONG with this training, we strongly believe that Owner education is very important especially in the continued training of their horse. Therefor:  We are willing to educate the owner also with one session a week with the horse so that they may see how we are training their horse and learn how to continue the horses postive behavior after they return home.
It has been confirmed that it takes 200 repetitions
before a horse will be able to perform a command with ease. Therefor we feel that it is very important for us to train the owner also as 60 days of work is not enough repetitions.
Alot of trainers will train your horse in 30 days but this time frame we do not feel is long enough to instill the foundation that a horse needs to become a great riding horse or anything else that you may want him to become. A lot of owners  are not knowledgeable to continue such a green horse or you would have trained him yourself. Therefor we insist that you keep your horse with us for at least two months.
Upon completion of the 60 days of training, we will also include one free evaluation at your place after you have taken your horse home. We will watch you work with your horse and fill out an evaluation form and determine where you need work with your horse and solutions to fix any problems.
If you feel that you would like additional training sessons with you and your horse, this can be arranged for an additonal fee per sesson.

At the moment we are only set up to take in two to three horses for training at a time due to the fact that we have three horses of our own. Hopefully soon we will be able to expand to accommodate more horses. If we are full, but you would still like to train with us, we can put you on our waiting list which should be no longer than two months.
We would like for you to have your horse up to date on his shots and to show us proof of this. This is required for your horses safety as well as ours and anyone elses that is stabled with us at the time.

We are here to help you get a solid foundation on your horse and are not confined to any one type of discipline. But we will train your horse in a western saddle and eventually he will know how to neck rein and move away from pressure.
If  you are later interested in showing your horse, I know of a wonderful trainer in El Paso that could help you out. Her name is Vicki Maly. If El Paso is too far for you to go, she maybe able to refer you to someone here in Las Cruces.

We are willing to train mustangs as well, but since these animals have such an ingrained flight or fight instinct the majority of these horses will take a lot longer than 60 days to achieve the same goal, depending on where they are at the time. We can discuss this option when we evaluate the horse. This evaluation is provided free up to 15 miles from our facility. We are located on Hwy 70/Brahman Rd. Anything further than this there will be a $20 charge to be paid prior to evaluation.
